The City of Colorado Springs is the Home Rule Municipality that is the county seat and the most populous municipality of El Paso County, Colorado. Colorado Springs is the second most populous city and the most extensive city in the State of Colorado. It is the principal city of the Colorado Springs, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area and is the second most prominent city of the Front Range Urban Corridor. It is located in east central Colorado, on Fountain Creek, 70 miles (113 km) south of Denver. At 6,035 feet (1,839 m) the city stands over 1 mile (1.6 km) above sea level, though some areas are significantly higher and lower. Colorado Springs is near the base of Pikes Peak, which rises 14,115 feet (4,302 m) above sea level on the eastern edge of the Southern Rocky Mountains.

The airport is serviced by two local taxi companies: Pikes Peak Cab (719) 888-9000 and COS Transportation Yellow Cab (719) 777-7777. Expect cost to be in the range of $32-40 (approx.). Rides can be pre-booked through Super Shuttle Express (supershuttle.com) from COS airport to The Antlers Hotel.

Airport to City Shuttle Van (will go direct to The Antlers Hotel): Highly advised option. Book ahead of time (www.groometransportation.com). Select your airport pickup and arrival at Antlers S. Cascade in Colorado Springs. Cost will be ~$50-55. Can be booked roundtrip.

Regional Train to Intercity Bus: This option will need to be carefully timed and is substantially longer than other options. Take the A Line Commuter Train from Denver Airport to Denver Union Station, A Line Commuter Train - frequency every 15 minutes at peak times, every 30 minutes at non-peak times. Travel time from Denver Airport to Denver Union Station ~37 minutes. Tickets can be purchased ($10.50) from vending machines in stations. From Denver Union Station take regional bus service (Bustang) to Colorado Springs on the South Line. Departures are limited, check the schedule for times. The Antlers Hotel is a short walk (~2 city blocks) away from the Colorado Springs Downtown Transit Terminal, the second to last stop on the South Line route. Bus travel time is approximately 2 hours 15 minutes and costs $12 one-way. Route schedule is limited (especially on weekends) please book carefully to avoid a long wait or missed connection.
